Free Hole Slam will be hosting a poetry slam and featuring award winning slam poets Joshua Ballard and Chris Rockwell.
Joshua Ballard is the 2011 Grand Slam Champion of New Jersey’s infamous Loserslam. He has been published in the internationally recognized and award winning poetry publication The Idiom Magazine.
Chris Rockwell is 2006’s Loserslam’s Champion and in 2010 was named Poet Laureate of Asbury Park. Together they are the poetry duo, The Photo Booth and are touring the United States performing their own brand of eclectic and powerful poetry that involves humor and musical accompaniment.
Joshua and Chris will be teaching a writing workshop at 6pm then featuring at 8pm between the 2nd and 3rd rounds of the slam.
All persons are encouraged attend the workshop or to enroll in the slam at 7pm.
This event is funded by the state of Texas and El Paso’s Museum and Cultural Affairs Department.
