EPCC Theater Ensemble "Butterflies Are Free"

El Paso Community College (EPCC) Theater Ensemble finishes off its 2013-14 season with Butterflies Are Free. This production will be the final play for retiring EPCC Professor and Director, Hector Serrano.
Serrano began at EPCC in 1980 and is well known in the local, regional and national theater community. He was instrumental in the founding of Viva El Paso! in 1978 and directed it for 25 years. Serrano directed over 50 plays at EPCC and 200 community, academic and professional theater productions.
Performances of Butterflies Are Free will be Friday and Saturday evenings, April 4, 5, 11 and 12 at 8:00 p.m. There will be two Sunday matinees, April 6 and 13 at 2:30 p.m.
The EPCC Theater Ensemble performs at the EPCC Transmountain Campus Forum Theater, 9570 Gateway North. General Admission is $15, Non-EPCC students and military are $10 and EPCC students and staff and senior citizens are $7. Tickets are available at the door. The box office opens two hours before each performance.
Butterflies Are Free was written by Leonard Gershe. A comedy, it tells the story of a blind young man seeking independence while creating problems with his mother and his new roommate as he struggles to become self-reliant.
