6th Annual Spirit of Amigo Luncheon and Travel Fair

Please join us at the 6th Annual Spirit of Amigo Luncheon and Travel Fair held each year to acknowledge the hospitality industry as well as to invite locals to share in the excitement of National Tourism Week. This year the celebration will be hosted by the El Paso Convention & Visitors Bureau, in association with the El Paso Hotel/Motel Association and co-sponsored by Southwest Airlines. Come early and enjoy dozens of local attractions and events showcasing the city’s and region’s treasures followed by our annual luncheon. Both travel fair and the luncheon will be at the Judson F Williams Convention Center on May 15th from 11a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

This year’s honoree is El Paso’s own legendary broadcaster and anchor Gary Warner. Gary has supported the community for over 30 years and we invite you to celebrate his retirement with one thousand of his closest friends. Past honorees of the Spirit of Amigo Award include the Sun Bowl Association, Fort Bliss and Don Haskins.

National Tourism Week: Travel Fairs in El Paso

As the 25th anniversary of National Tourism Week approaches this May 10-18, the El Paso Convention & Visitors Bureau will join hundreds of other cities, states and organizations to celebrate travel and tourism in America.

The El Paso CVB has scheduled a series of travel fairs to promote and educate locals on the numerous events and attractions that make more than 2 million visitors from all over the world visit El Paso each year.

The celebration kicks off with the first CVB Travel Fair on May 10th at the Outlet Shoppes at El Paso where hundreds of people will have the opportunity to learn more about upcoming events and promotions in and around the city as well a chance to win BIG! One lucky winner will win a $200 gift certificate for their shopping pleasure at the Outlet Shoppes at El Paso. You must register to win that day, so grab a friend and head over to the Outlet on May 10th from noon to 4 p.m.

The fun continues at the Spirit of Amigo Luncheon and Travel Fair Celebration on May 15th at the Convention Center, where a thousand people are expected to attend. Thrill seekers have one more chance to seek out great tokens of information on what’s new, what’s hot and what’s coming to El Paso at Fort Bliss’s Armed Forces Day celebration on Noel Field, May 18th. Open to the public and free of charge the CVB and its local and regional partners will be sharing a Taste of El Paso from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
