Don Haskins Center
Home of the UTEP Athletics Mens and Womens Basketball teams, The Don Haskins Center is named after the legendary UTEP basketball coach. Used as a basketball facility, it has a permanent hardwood floor with Safeguard floor covering and is configured as a 127' x 84' octagon. The center is also one of the most flexible performance arenas in the Southwest. It features 11,767 permanent seats, 36 wheelchair spaces, and 800 portable seats in the round, and 7,000-9,000 seats with end-stage seating.
El Paso Cohen Stadium
The El Paso Diablos, now affiliated with the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball, have been an El Paso institution for decades. The Diablos’ season runs from April through August. Home games are played in the 10,000-seat Cohen Stadium in northeast El Paso.
El Paso County Coliseum
Originally built in the 1940s, the Coliseum has just completed a major renovation. $9.5 million brought the El Paso community a state of the art heating and air conditioning system, new seating, expanded hallways, concession stands and restrooms. Come enjoy annual events such as Disney on Ice, Fiesta de las Flores, the Shrine Circus and the Southwest International Livestock Show and Rodeo along with a variety of local music festivals and new events such as Border's Best BBQ, Texas-style Seafood Festival and a variety of local music festivals.
El Paso Sports Commission
El Paso Sports Commission aims to increase the influx of sports tourism dollars to the El Paso community through the creation of local tournaments, the enhancement of existing tournaments and by attracting regional, national and international tournaments to the El Paso area. El Paso Sportsplex of Champions
Sportspark is swiftly moving to become the region’s premier athletic complex, with its lighted T-ball, softball and baseball fields. The park can easily accommodate a 200-team tournament, with games played during the day and at night. Concessions are available. More important yet, plans are to expand the park to include tournament-approved soccer fields in the not too distant future.
Sun Bowl Stadium
The Sun Bowl is the scene of the nationally televised collegiate gridiron classic of the same name. It's also home to the UTEP Miners Football team. For large venues, the Sun Bowl is equal to many of America's large stadiums, with 51,000 seats and 30 wheel chair spaces.
UTEP Rifle Range
The Utep Rifle Range is a modern indoor facility boasting eight electronic carriers capable of athletic, law enforcement, and concealed license learning. Access is coordinated by way of professional and continuing education for a variety of University and TX classes.
UTEP Swimming & Fitness Center
The Swimming and Fitness Center offers UTEP students, faculty, staff and their guests an outstanding opportunity to increase their fitness level by participating in a variety of recreational activities in a smoke-free environment.
UTEP Track
The track features an eight-lane Mondo Track, the same surface used for the 2004 Athens Olympic Games. The track was made possible by generous donations from Wayne and Russ Vandenburg of EPT Management and Mark Fry. A state-of-the-art Daktronics video board was added in January of 2008. The 9x15-foot LED video display plants fans right into the action on the track, providing graphics and video elements that displays real-time highlights throughout a meet. The lit facility also houses throws and jumps arenas, making Kidd Field one of the top track-only complexes in the country.
