Approximately two and a half hours east of El Paso on Highway 80, this national park features the highest mountain peak in Texas. Guadalupe Mountains National Park also includes a hot, dry region in the low desert areas and green forested landscapes with cooler temperatures. Visitors can take advantage of the grand views, dramatic landscapes, and historic sites such as the Butterfield Stage Trail and Sitting Bull Falls. Hiking and camping are permitted.
