Love large this season of love by opening your heart and home to a big dog during El Paso Animal Services’ “Big Dogs, Bigger Hearts” adoption promotion! The City’s El Paso Animal Services is asking the community to consider adopting a large dog this Valentine’s season, as the shelter remains at critical capacity with over 750 dogs waiting for their forever homes.

“Big dogs have so much love to give and deserve love, too,” said El Paso Animal Services Director Terry Kebschull. “The majority of our pets looking for new, loving homes are large dogs and the more we can get out of the shelter and into homes the better.”

Adoption fees will be waived for dogs over 30 pounds, and families looking to adopt can visit shelter pets at the El Paso Animal Services Center located at 5001 Fred Wilson, with extended hours from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. or at their Mission Valley Adoption Center, open Friday through Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 9068 Socorro Rd.

All adoptions include the animals spay/neuter procedure, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip and City license.
